First Meeting

Your profile will be shared with the American universities that fit your academic and athletic needs the best. You will meet with the coaches and together we will look for the best fit for you.

Kees Heemskerk
Kees founded Onside Scholarships to help other athletes to realize their dream of becoming a student-athlete. From 2010 until the end of 2013 he played Division 1 College Soccer, and studied Psychology at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. Not only did he improve tremendously on the field and in the classroom, but the growth he went through as a person is something he treasures the most.
To date, Kees has guided 100+ athletes to go to America.

Mick de Vlieger
Over 10 years of experience in entrepreneurship and events. Since selling his events company, Mick went all-in with his biggest passion; sports. In Portugal, he has his own chain of gyms, and participates in soccer club Silves FC. He also organizes the Algarve Elite Cup in Portugal, where they also host training camps for professional soccer clubs.
Wim Diesveld
In his youth, Wim traded the soccer pitch for the track with his speciality being the middle-distance. Not only was he an athlete himself, but from a young age Wim was always guiding and training young talent. He is married to Karolien and has two sons (Jorn and Wout), who share his passion for sports. Wout has played at a professional youth academy for multiple years and is a student-athlete in America since the summer of 2023.
At Onside, Wim is the go-to person for parents with questions about how it is to have a child in America, after he went through the whole process himself with his son Wout.
In his daily life he is also an accountant and since 2005 he runs a middle-large accountancy firm with two partners in the East of the Netherlands.
